C12. - Another Birthday

this is Angus (new car baby!) going from baby to Toddler with some help from Caryl, still in her PJ's. From left to right that's Archie (oldest twin), Thadeus, Abraham (child), maid, Caryl & Angus, Adam and Alex (twin) in green. I'm playing this legacy in my Veronaville, so I'm still trying to stick to all Shakesperean names. And I had decided to go with an alphabetical naming system to help me remember what generation I'm in before I read about the alphabet challenge. Of course, with the way gen. 1 is having children, I may never get to gen. 3!  Posted by Picasa

Aemilia missed this little brother's birthday party because she was working at the lab (she's an over-achiever of course). She doesn't have many hours left before she joins her older brothers at Sim State. Alex & Archie want her to join them at the frat house and Adam has told her how cool his dorm is & how many new friends he's making, but Aemilia is dreaming of a quiet place of her own; she's had her fill of living with a handful of boys all her life. With all the scholarships she's managed to earn, she should be able to afford it.

Abraham was very happy to have a little brother in the house, he was tired of being the baby. And the older siblings were all very excited when they heard the news, though they were a little grossed out. Archie and Alex ribbed Dad about not leaving mom alone for more than 5 minutes, and Adam was taking notes, as he wanted a big family some day too. Tad told his older boys "You keep the mama happy & everyone stays happy, that's just the best advice my dad ever gave me."
Caryl over heard them, and just smiled to herself, knowing that Tad had done everything he could to make her happy, and she was happy. Even though her maternity PJ's were thread bare from the constant use. She knew from the beginning that Tad wanted a big family, and frankly, the extra maternity leave gave her the time she needed to work on her novel. She had sold several paintings already, but she couldn't quite finish the book. She hadn't told anyone in the family about yet, but she was hoping to finish it in the next few days & then start shopping for a publisher.
She was starting a wedding fund, and any proceeds would add to that. With the twins & Adam (hopefully) graduating in a few years, there would be weddings and grandchildren & she needed to start planning now. With 6 children, the bills could add up quickly. And she would be ready, she always was. Thank goodness all of her children were bright enough to get full scholarships, she & Tad hadn't had to touch their college emergency fund yet, but there was no point in waiting until the last minute.
