C.18 - And now a new home.

And since this Blog only allows me to upload pictures every 3rd or 4th day, I'm leaving it behind. Seriously, there's a 50/50 chance of pictures uploading and I'm done trying.
I've moved my Parker-Scott family to a livejournal site at

C17 - so many birthdays & 1 glitch

With so many birthdays in the house, somehow I missed getting pictures of Angus' transition to teen, but after a quick makeover & a new cell phone, here he is in the first of many flirtations. Yes, Angus is all about the Romance. A flash of silky hair and a coy smile is all it takes to get this boy's attention!

We also celebrated little Anthony's transition to toddler as quickly as possible - those wobbly wabbits were starting to get lonely! That's Caryl in the background, Celeste had picked out several new outfits downtown & Caryl was enjoying a softer, brownish look. Tad prefers to spend most of the summer in his swim trunks to show off his pecs. Anthony thinks that if it doesn't produce milk, he's not interested!

Well, nobody appeared to be interested in watching Anthony transition to toddler, so he thought he'd just hang out for awhile. That's Abraham in the lab coat, just home from his after school job, and Caryl & Celeste hanging out, wondering when they're going to get some cake. Tad's wandered off, since Anthony wouldn't help blow out the candles.

Yes, that's Anthony, showing off the his new levitation trick just a few feet from the stove. Not to be outdone by the green children in the house, he wants everyone to know he's special too!

Caryl knows that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Taking matters in hand, namely Anthony, she rounded up the family again and showed Tad how it's done.

And spin - no suspense here - another Parker-Scott boy, dark hair, dark eyes, blah blah blah.

And for all that, I don't have a single picture of toddler Anthony in my files. Let me just say that he's a chip off the old block - Tad clone of 5/5/5/4/9. I may influence up that playfulness a bit, but yawn! Coming up next, Abraham will be going off to college; he's done everything he can here in Veronaville, filled all his scholarship requirements & is fed up with all the rugrats.
until next time, PS.

C16 - So many babies

The local bakery was going to make a killing off the Parker-Scott household. Aubrey & Aurora were happy, healthy babies and adored by everyone in the house.

Celeste was a welcome addition to the family; she had very high cooking & mechanical skills, with a few skill points in other areas. Her driving purpose in life was to be popular, to meet & make friends with as many people as possible, with an achievable dream of some day becoming a super-hero. She was very neat & outgoing & quickly made friends with the other members of the household. She also took up most of the cooking for the growing family, as Caryl was often too tired to get the older kids off to school. The reason for this soon became clear.

And Caryl soon welcomed Anthony into the house (that's #9 if you're counting). With 3 babies in the house, Celeste quit her job at the post office to help out full time. Tad had gone back to work the day after the twins were born, but he rushed home everyday to snuggle them & take his turn with diaper duty. Caryl had finally finished her first novel & it was selling well, and the older children came home from college regularly to help out around the house and welcome their new siblings. Abraham & Angus helped out as much as they could between school & homework, and often coerced the older twins to help with their skills building. The first few years flew by, as they often do in a house full of babies, and soon it was time for the twins to become toddlers.

(that's some random neighborhood kid that crashed the party for cake, along with Caryl, Abraham, Alex & Archie waiting for the spin)
Celeste helped Aubrey to his cake and after a bit of confetti and a quick toss, he was a handsome, sloppy little toddler. (stats - 2/10/3/3/10) Celeste was just happy that she'd been able to buy some new clothes before the party pictures were taken. She was tired of carrying that mail pouch around everywhere.

Tad then snuggled his little Aurora and brought her out to another cake, thinking about how wonderful his wife was being about her little green step-children.

Angus is just wondering when he'll finally get a piece of cake! And wishing he was in bed, cause he was tired from all this partying. Babies stay up too late!

With a bit of a spin and a blur of green, Aurora became a happy, sloppy toddler too! (stats = 0/8/0/10/10) and red hair - go figure!

Tad was overjoyed that they both grew up well, so while the other guests enjoyed their cake and trundled off to bed, he immediately started up a batch of smart milk for the twins and commenced with the lessons - talking and potty-training right off the bat & then back to bed for Aurora, as she was worn out.

And then talking for Aubrey before he went back to bed. Tad wanted his special babies to have every advantage, to maybe make up for their less than normal appearance.

C15. - 2 New Green Babies

Caryl & Celeste had been buiding their friendship since the twins moved off to college; Caryl knew that this girl had captured her oldest son's heart and would soon be a member of the family. Saturday, after her shift at the post office, Celeste had come over for dinner & had been complaining that her apartments had gone condo recently. She wasn't sure if she could afford to buy into the new unit, but otherwise she would have to find a new place to live. Caryl was suddenly struck with a brilliant idea. She offered Celeste free room & board if she would move in & help take care of the new baby - the young girl jumped at the chance to move in with her new family & the Parker-Scott house had a new member.

The big day finally came - it was a quiet Sunday morning, everyone had been up early, getting cleaned up and getting breakfast on the table. Tad had gone back to bed after his pancakes, because he was just exhausted all the time. Abraham and Angus invited some friends over and Caryl was working on her next masterpiece when the quiet house was shaken by screams coming from the master bedroom.

"Honey - come quick - and don't let the kids see this - I'm a mess! I can't believe AAAUUUGGGH how bad this hurts! What the... hey!"

"That was amazing - look what I dropped! Wait - I have an unexplainable urge to take this green baby upstairs. Don't ask me why, the nursery is on the ground floor. It just seems to go with the carpet upstairs better."

"And look what happens when I set down the first one, and spin again - honey - check this out! Here's another one - and I think they're identical! Awwwww - they're so cute, I think this one has your eyes."
*Caryl to self* "(ok hon - that's not possible!) Good job babe - let's just get them cleaned up & order another crib, K?"

*meanwhile, downstairs - *
"Angus - come over here & Smustle with me - I got to show you my new moves!"
"OK - I'm so happy, I feel like dancing right here in the kitchen!"

"Little Dude - that is SO not right!"
"I know - but I'm so cute - don't you just love me?! And I'm not the baby anymore!"

C14. - Thoughts on Abduction

“Hello? Miss Sim Goddess?”
“Yes Caryl?”
“I thought you might be lurking around here. Tad told me all about you, and at first I thought he was losing it. You know he’s not speaking to you; that whole Alien Abduction thing really pissed him off. He keeps going on about how you’re watching everything & how could you let that happen to him.
Well?”

“Caryl, you know how Tad has always wanted a big family? And how you, to date, have bore 6 beautiful and healthy children for him?”

“Yes, but what do you mean, to date?”
“Don’t worry about that now, what I’m getting at is that perhaps Tad has been given a wonderful opportunity to now experience what you’ve gone through. Besides, while I do have some say in the workings of your world, I assure you that I have no control over the appearance (or lack thereof) of aliens.”

“ No control over aliens, I see.
Back up a shake there – what do you mean - what I’ve been through? & what does this have to do with my children? Are they coming back? You know, Angus is terrified that he’ll be abducted too!” (note: they all do carry the fear that Tad will be abducted again)

“Calm your knishes, girl – it doesn’t have anything to do with your brood. Let’s just say that Tad may need to borrow some of those maternity shirts of yours. And he’ll be a little run down and very hungry for the next few months.”
“He’s what… & borrow my maternity …

OH MY GOD.
They’ve impregnated my husband?! **smirk**

That’s impossible – he can’t carry a child. Well, if any man could do it, it figures it would be Tad, he’s such a good father.”

“That’s right. Look upon this as a great blessing – Thadeus is such a fine specimen of fatherhood that other species have heard of his greatness and come to investigate, so to speak.”

“Is there child support involved? A monthly stipend or state support? I assume that someone will take financial responsibility for this?”
“Lets just say that any medical costs will be covered, and I suppose you could apply for some sort of grant. For now, let’s just be supportive of him in his condition. This could be prime material for your next novel you know – then you could hit the circuit, do the talk shows, it could be really Big.”
(Caryl is momentarily stunned by the huge dollar signs dancing before her eyes)
“Caryl?”

“ummhmm?” **imagining her own series of kids books, with alien teddy bears**

“I’m always here if you have more questions, or just want to talk, ok? One of these days, we’ll have a good chat & I’ll explain the Legacy rules to you, then it might make more sense.”
“Uh huh. *mutters to self* I bet this would get me on the Today show, definitely Matt Lauer interview-quality stuff here.“

(editors note: Tad is currently in his third trimester, and I'm searching my baby name book for "astral" type names for the birth tonight, more pictures to come!)

C13b. - Sim State too

Just as promised, the twins were both inducted into the secret society on Campus. Arch went first, right in the middle of one of his famous toga parties.

He lost no time in making a few new friends, and then went home to get some sleep before his final the next day.

Alex was "kidnapped" the next night, right in the middle of writing term paper in his pj's. Actually, he was quite thankful for the break. And the new suit.

He also made a few new friends, flirting a little just to test the waters!

The twins continue to do well at Sim state, and Adam and Aemilia are frequent guests at their parties. They've both become members, but prefer to continue to live in their respective dorms. Yes, Aemilia got lonely living in her little rented house and managed to find an empty dorm room in her second semester.

c13. - Sim State again

Alex and Archie have been study hard & keeping their grades up, despite the troupe of coeds coming & going thru the frat house. After he Aced his Sophomore year, Archie decided it was time for a bit of romance. He had had Celeste up to the house several times, but he wanted to show her just how grown up he really was; it was time for a real date.

Of course, right off the bat, they both just wanted to play & tickle - real grown up Alex! But the date was going well, so they moved inside for a little one on one action.

A little dancing, a little flirting and Celeste was putty in his hands. She finally admitted her true feelings and he poured his heart out. He had been in love with her for years, and no amount of higher education was going to change the way he felt about her.

*editors note* I don't know what's up with the look on his face here - maybe she stepped on his toes while dancing, maybe he's just not sure why she brought her mail pouch with her!

They got a little hot & heavy on the dance floor and decided to take their feelings to a more private place. Archie suggested going back to the Frat house, but Celeste didn't want to wait another moment. They ran to the car.

Needless to say it was a dream date for both of them!
*editor's note #2 - she did come by later with a bouquet of roses, but no gift. Are NPC's so broke that they can't afford a nice potted plant??*

C12b. - More photos

A few days latter and here's the doting dad pausing in the middle of his skilling to stop and give his youngest son a snuggle and a tickle. Just what the little tyke needed before bed.

Here's Tad, fawning over baby Angus, he does make beautiful babies. They never have redecorated the nursery, poor Aemelia had to grow up with the blue crib and dinosaur wallpaper.  Posted by Picasa

Can you blame Caryl? Tad's still hot!  Posted by Picasa

C12. - Another Birthday

this is Angus (new car baby!) going from baby to Toddler with some help from Caryl, still in her PJ's. From left to right that's Archie (oldest twin), Thadeus, Abraham (child), maid, Caryl & Angus, Adam and Alex (twin) in green. I'm playing this legacy in my Veronaville, so I'm still trying to stick to all Shakesperean names. And I had decided to go with an alphabetical naming system to help me remember what generation I'm in before I read about the alphabet challenge. Of course, with the way gen. 1 is having children, I may never get to gen. 3!  Posted by Picasa

Aemilia missed this little brother's birthday party because she was working at the lab (she's an over-achiever of course). She doesn't have many hours left before she joins her older brothers at Sim State. Alex & Archie want her to join them at the frat house and Adam has told her how cool his dorm is & how many new friends he's making, but Aemilia is dreaming of a quiet place of her own; she's had her fill of living with a handful of boys all her life. With all the scholarships she's managed to earn, she should be able to afford it.

Abraham was very happy to have a little brother in the house, he was tired of being the baby. And the older siblings were all very excited when they heard the news, though they were a little grossed out. Archie and Alex ribbed Dad about not leaving mom alone for more than 5 minutes, and Adam was taking notes, as he wanted a big family some day too. Tad told his older boys "You keep the mama happy & everyone stays happy, that's just the best advice my dad ever gave me."
Caryl over heard them, and just smiled to herself, knowing that Tad had done everything he could to make her happy, and she was happy. Even though her maternity PJ's were thread bare from the constant use. She knew from the beginning that Tad wanted a big family, and frankly, the extra maternity leave gave her the time she needed to work on her novel. She had sold several paintings already, but she couldn't quite finish the book. She hadn't told anyone in the family about yet, but she was hoping to finish it in the next few days & then start shopping for a publisher.
She was starting a wedding fund, and any proceeds would add to that. With the twins & Adam (hopefully) graduating in a few years, there would be weddings and grandchildren & she needed to start planning now. With 6 children, the bills could add up quickly. And she would be ready, she always was. Thank goodness all of her children were bright enough to get full scholarships, she & Tad hadn't had to touch their college emergency fund yet, but there was no point in waiting until the last minute.

C11. - First "hello" pix!

I think this is Abraham's teen transition - with all the boys Caryl's had, its' hard to keep track when they're in their school uniforms.  Posted by Picasa

*note from editor* I just signed up for "Hello!", so maybe this blog will look better - more pix, less drivel! we'll see...
Poor Amelia has had her nose stuck in her books (and the surgical machine and the candy maker) so much that I just realized that I don't have many shots of their one & only girl so far. That's her in the lab coat cheering on Abraham. Many days pass by quickly in this household, the twins and Adam come back from college on a regular basis to get their laundry done & share a home cooked meal with their folks. Tad's always playing and joking with them. And the younger siblings take advantage of their presence by asking them for lessons on the various skill-builders on the lot.

"UM..Miss Narrator-thingy"
"Yes Tad? -and that's Miss Sim Goddess to you"
"All this fuss over the kids - and I can understand it, they're great kids, but you know me & Caryl have a life too"
"Yes Tad, and mostly it revolves around your kids, according to your aspirations"
"But you haven't even mentioned the present that I bought Caryl when I was promoted to Business Tycoon, or the garage I finally finished and the upstairs addition on the house."
"Feel free to toot your own horn, Tad"
"Thanks Miss SG. Well, I don't normally mind about my work much, but I did reach the top of the business ladder a few days back, and since so many of our early years together were pretty lean, I splurged and bought Caryl the new sports car that she'd been eyeing. And then I hurried to finish the garage, to keep the birds off.."
"Tad - aren't you skipping over a bit? Like how Caryl thanked you for that car??"
"What - you saw that - damn, you do get around! I thought the windows were too steamed up for anyone to notice **grins**."
"I see all, child. Get used to it. Don't worry, as usual, I forgot to take any pictures."
"Pictures?! You have a camera up there? Please, my kids are all here!
Well, yeah, we did have to initiate the new car, I mean, that's what keeps us young, break up the every day, so to speak. And Caryl's never been a SHY bird! Did I ever tell you about our first date? I knew I loved her the moment she dropped her drawers to join me in that hottub downtown. And then we.."
"Enough son, I was there, remember? And this site's PG, so tone it down. You've got nothing to prove here, the testosterone in this house stands on it's own. But aren't you leaving something else out? Like a little musical interlude?"
"What, that nusery song again? I thought I'd just left the radio on...ooh you mean.. again? Awesome! I still got it! **puffs chest** I thought Caryl was bloating, but I assumed she'd been eating too much birthday cake again.
Lady, I mean Miss SG, I hope you've got a long list of A names!"
"Don't you mind about me. If you're quite done here, get your heiny back in the house and make some dinner so your sweet wife can get some rest."
"Yes, Ma'am! And thanks!"

C10. - Back at the ranch

Life back at the Parker-Scott household seemed quiet after the twins moved off to college. Adam was working most afternoons and there just wasn't the same traffic of kids tromping through every day. Adam studied hard and went out regularly with his friends, always asking permission first, so there would be no trouble. Tad was spending most of his evenings gazing at the heavens and didn't seem to mind what Adam was up to. Adam was the good kid - no worries there.

Aemilia would occasionally bring home a friend, but mostly she was interested in studying. She wanted to be the top scientist one day & was looking forward to maxing out her cooking and logic skills. Sometimes she found a little time to play pool and dance with her friends, but not often. One of the friends she brought home from school was Mallory Mace and she & Caryl would often spend an hour or two together chatting over the chess board or hottubbing. Now that her kids were grown, and Caryl was working nights, she was lonely during the day.
She soon had another reason to stay home, but spent most of her time sleeping. Tad had indeed worked his magic and Caryl was pregnant again. She was secretly hoping for a little girl to paly with again - someone a little more interested in playing dress up & dolls with again. It was not to be; Caryl gave birth to a handsome son, whom they named Abraham, and once again, Tad was thrilled. Maybe he could start his own basketball team now!
